If you have recently bought a boat or are even considering this as an option in the future, then you may be wondering when would be the perfect time to take a boating trip out on the open waters. A lot of this has to do with the weather conditions and knowing what the ideal conditions for boating are in your area. In general, the most ideal weather for taking a boat out is partly sunny with low winds and mild temperatures. With just partial sun and decent cloud cover, visibility is higher and the risk of sunburn and dangerous UV exposure is lessened. Not to mention, low winds mean that the waters will be smooth and easy to navigate as opposed to dangerous and choppy. Finally,, mild temperatures, such as those in the 60s and 70s, are perfect for staying comfortable while out on the boat. Still, regardless of the initial weather conditions, all boaters should be as prepared as possible for sudden adverse weather. After all, this can happen at any time while out on the water, so it is important to know what to do in the event of high winds, choppy waters, or severe thunder storms.
